Privacy Policy for 1bit

Sobin Sunny ("we", "us") provides the 1bit Android app, including its 1bit+ features (the "App"). This policy explains what data the App handles, why it is used, and your choices.

Information the App handles

Downloads and files. When you add a download, the App stores the URL, file name, transfer status, settings, and related metadata on your device. Downloaded files are saved to your device's Downloads storage. If you start a download from the built-in browser, the App may retain request headers, including a site's cookies, on your device so it can start or resume that download. The App sends download requests and any necessary headers to the website or file host you choose. Those sites may receive your IP address and request information under their own privacy practices. We do not operate a server that receives your downloaded file contents.

Browser data. The built-in browser stores regular browsing history, bookmarks, tabs, cookies, and website data on your device. Websites you visit can receive information you send to them and may use their own cookies or tracking. Private browsing uses a separate temporary browser profile and does not save visits to the App's regular history. Files you choose to download during a private session remain on your device.

App settings and usage records. The App stores preferences, download schedules, transfer statistics, and similar operational data on your device to provide its features.

Google services

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, and In-App Messaging. These services may collect app interactions, diagnostic and crash information, device and app details, installation identifiers, notification tokens, and message interaction information. We use them to understand app usage, fix faults, deliver app messages, and configure features and update requirements. If you buy 1bit+ features, Google Play processes the purchase. The App receives purchase status and product information to unlock or restore access. We do not collect your payment card number in the App. Google Play's handling of purchase data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Notifications and permissions

If you allow notifications, the App may show download progress and app update messages. The App uses network and Wi-Fi status to manage downloads, and Android foreground-service, scheduling, wake, and startup capabilities to continue or schedule work you requested. You can change notification permission in Android settings.

Sharing and security

We do not sell your personal data. Data is sent to Google for the services described above and to websites or file hosts you choose to access. When you use Android's share feature, the recipient app receives the file or link you select. Firebase uses encryption in transit. Connections to websites and file hosts depend on the address you choose; HTTP connections are not encrypted.

Retention and your choices

Local download records, browser data, and settings remain on your device until you delete them in the App or remove the App. You can clear browser history and website data, delete download records and files, and control notifications in Android settings. Removing the App deletes its private local data, although files saved in shared Downloads storage may remain. Google retains data processed by its services according to its applicable settings and policies. To ask about data we control, contact us below.

Children

The App is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review your request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App or its data practices change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date.
